Hello Bulldog friends... I'm excited to serve FSE as your school librarian! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and tell you a little about me. After teaching kindergarten for 17+ years in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD at Keith Elementary and Woodard Elementary, I took a one-year leave in 2021-2022 to finish my master’s degree. In May of 2022, I graduated from Texas A&M-Commerce with an M. Ed in Educational Technology & Library Science. Back in 2004, I graduated from LeTourneau University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and immediately following earned my Texas teaching certificate. I was honored as the recipient of 'SpotLight Teacher of the Year' for Keith Elementary in CFISD for the 2013-2014 school year. Additionally, I facilitated learning for the Gifted & Talented kindergarten candidates for more than 10 years on two separate campuses and am GT & ESL certified. I have proudly served in various capacities with staff development and on numerous committees, including: campus Lead Mentor for new PK - 2nd grade teachers, Woodard Elementary Veteran's Day committee, and as a mentor on the 'No Place For Hate' campus board. Teaching has been my second career and a dream come true. Now I am journeying towards my third career with y’all as your School Librarian at FSE!

On a more personal note, in 2007, I married Todd Burrer and we blended our four children together into a family. He currently serves as Vice President of Texas MUDs for Inframark in Houston, Texas. Our four beautiful children are all grown and we’ve added two great sons-in-laws and three perfect grandchildren into the mix! I am new to the Waller area as my husband and I recently moved to Whitehall/Navasota in December of 2020. We have realized a yearning dream to own property away from the crowds and now enjoy 11 acres of God’s country to share with family and friends!

When I am not working on schoolwork, I enjoy lounging with our two Great Pyrenees; Grizz & Luna, traveling with my husband, spending time with friends & family, volunteering at our home church, and shopping at Kendra Scott!
