Welcome to 2nd Grade

Our second grade team's goal is working together to assure quality education for each of our students. We use WISD and state guidelines as we plan together for you students, focusing on the specific needs and learning styles of the individual child.We use assessment tools such as the Developmental Reading Assessment (DRA), Curriculum Based Assessments (CBA) and Curriculum Benchmarks, as well as teacher observation and parental feedback, to give us a good picture of each student’s strengths and needs.
Our ultimate goal is success and self-confidence for all of our students as they complete second grade and continue to third.
