Mr. Guerra graduated from Waller High School in 2009. He then went to college at Wake Forest University in North Carolina, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Theatre and Women’s and Gender Studies in 2013. Mr. Guerra moved back home to Texas to be a theatre teacher in Splendora ISD at Splendora Junior High from 2013 to 2015. Here he served as the Fine Arts Department Chair for the 2014-2015 school year. In 2015, Mr. Guerra came home to Waller ISD to be the high school theatre teacher, the position he still holds today, along with Ms. Carrie Wood. Since being at Waller High School, Mr. Guerra has graduated with his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Policymaking, and is currently working on his Doctorate of Education in Transformational Leadership and Professional Inquiry. This past year, Mr. Guerra was voted teacher of the year by his colleagues, for Waller High School, and then selected as Waller ISD’s Secondary Teacher of the Year for the District. Mr. Guerra is married to the love of his life-his wife, Heather, who works over at Magnolia ISD as an ESL Teacher and Coach. Mr. Guerra is excited about beginning his 5th year teaching Technical Theatre, Bulldog Broadcasting/Movie Making, Principles of A/V Production, and Yearbook.
