Hello Waller Junior High students and parents!  I am so excited to begin the 2021-2022 school year. Even though everything seems uncertain right now this will be a time of stretching and growing mentally and intellectually for all of us. I have taught 6th - 8th grade math for 22 years (15 years at WJH)! Wow!  That's about 2,700 students or more that I have had the pleasure of teaching over the years! I have loved every one of my students through the years.  I am married with 5 grown children, 6 grandchildren and several fur babies.   
 
I believe that my students are like my family and they deserve the best that I have to offer. I want them to feel loved, valued and safe in my classroom. I expect them to try their best and to take ownership of their learning. I want my students to think and dream about their future and start now making plans on how they can achieve their future goals.   In my class you will see students working with manipulatives, technology, small groups (if permitted due to Covid-19), small projects and direct instruction. 
 
I want my classroom to be a springboard into their future educational successes and into their love of learning. I look forward to a wonderful school year!
