What a blessing it is to be the librarian at H.T. Jones Elementary School! I love to read and learn! Sharing the love of reading and learning is exciting! Watching a student's face light up when he or she makes connections with just right books makes me smile. 

"So many books, so little time" is a quote I think about often. One of my passions is having book access for everyone. How will we do this? Let's talk about it.

Do I have a favorite author? Not right now. There are so many talented writers out there writing amazing stories! Celia C. Perez, Jason Reynolds, Ame Dyckman, Barbara O'Connor, Ben Hatke, Jacqueline Woodson, Raina Teglemeier, Kazu Kibuishi, Jerry Craft, Sharon Draper, Jane Yolen, Gordon Korman, Alan Gratz, Sharon Creech....goodness! I had better stop here because the list is endless! 

Do I have a favorite genre? Sort of. I'll read almost anything, but I particularly enjoy historical fiction, realistic fiction, graphic novels, and narrative nonfiction.
