Chef "TKO" Tyler Kent Osburn
I am Chef Tyler Kent Osburn, but you may call me Chef TKO. This year, I will be teaching Advanced Culinary Arts and Practicum for the 2020-2021 school year.
I’m eager to meet, learn, and teach every single one of you.
A little bit about my educational background, I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu with an Associate of Applied Arts in Science in Culinary Arts. I also studied food science at Texas Woman’s University and Southwest Minnesota State University before completing my Bachelor of Science degree in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management from Johnson & Wales University. Interesting fact, when I was at TWU I conducted a research study as the Chief Author for Post Brand Cereals. The title of my research was, “The Organoleptic Attributes of a Protein Bar.” The science behind culinary is just as exciting to me as the arts.
I have fully lived and understand the front and back end of running and operating a restaurant. As an Executive Chef, I only used high quality ingredients. Such as, grass-fed beef, and farmer market produce. I believe in shopping local and I believe in working from the ground up! Another interesting fact is that I worked alongside with Chef Kamal, Rihanna’s personal Chef.
I am very excited about the upcoming school year and what we have in store for our Culinary Arts classes.
