Ms. Saveakda Pen

Howdy! My name is Saveakda Pen, and I currently teach English II at Waller High School. I joined the Bulldog Family in 2019, and I so far have loved the memories our students have gifted me.

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I am a graduate from Eisenhower High School and Texas A&M University. In 2016, I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Sociology with minors in both English and Africana Studies.

After completing my studies, I returned to Houston, where I spend most of my time reading books and browsing the bookstore. My favorite book is Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes, which a teacher introduced to me in 6th grade. I have loved reading ever since. Aside from reading, I love learning new recipes and watching Disney films.

I am looking forward to working with your student this year. My goal as a teacher is to inspire a passion for reading and books. I believe this passion can drive a student to discover the adventure and magic this world holds.

If you have any questions regarding my class or your student’s progress, please feel free to contact me via e-mail at
