Waller High School Students Succeed at Waller County Fair
Waller ISD (WISD) Future Farmers of America (FFA) students had huge success at the Waller County Fair during the week of October 1-5. Congratulations to all WISD FFA participants.
Sayler Schmidt was the Waller County Fair Queen and High Point Senior Creative Living. Kaitlin Christopher won third place in Creative Living Favorite Recipe.
In Market Goats, Meagan Broadus won Grand Champion Goat, Reserve Showmanship, and second place in Herdsman. Jenna Rice placed third in Herdsman and sixth in Class. Lane Alexander won second in Class. Cayden Alexander won Grand Showmanship and third Overall. Other goat exhibitors were Lillyan Geiman, Peyton Kersh, Colby Boettcher, Calan Boettcher, Cristian Gomez, Blaine Keeling, and Cody Baxter.
Jackson Hillman won fourth place in Market Turkey. Other market turkey exhibitors were Aubrey French, Isabella Hillman, Sara Nichols, and Shae Nichols.
In Market Broilers, Makenna Weeks won Grand Champion Broilers and Reserve Champion Broilers. Sayler Schmidt took eight place. Other market broiler exhibitors were Jacob Plata, Riley Kohler, Hailye Harmeier, Kassidye Harmeier, Amanda Broadus, and Briana McElhenie.
In Rabbits, Meagan Broadus won Reserve Senior Showmanship and Amanda Broadus took Grand Senior Showmanship. Other rabbit exhibitors were Allison Puckett and Kalyn Adkins.
In Market Lamb, Connor Norris won second place and Montrell Mitchell placed sixth.
In Market Steers, Payton Coursey won third in Class and Jaycie Bice won fifth. Other steer exhibitors were Cole Vinson, Jacquelyn Williamson, and Lilly Leal.
In the Breeding Goat Doe, Hadlee Tomczak won first in Herdsman, fourth and fifth in Class, and Senior Showmanship. Riley Kohler won second in Herdsman, second in Senior Showmanship, and sixth in Class. Other breeding doe exhibitors were Kendall Compton, Haylee Daniel, and Beau Kohler.
In Market Swine, Bailey Mayer won Reserve Grand Champion. Sayler Schmidt won first in Class and Grand Champion Senior Showmanship. Kaleb McLean won first in Herdsman and sixth in Class. Audrey Elizalde won first in Class. Other market swine exhibitors were Madelyn Wawarofsky, Kirby Rawlinson, Hannah Wawarofsky, Will Schmidt, LeeAnn Schmidt, Cordell Wyatt, Trinity Kieschnick, Dalton Wells, Heidi Chapa, Amber Peskey, and Nancy Gray.
In Heifers, Olivia Elizalde won second in Showmanship. John Mayer won fourth in Class. Jaycie Bice won sixth in Class. Other heifer exhibitors were Kendall Compton, Madison Roberson, Nathalie Hernandez, Damian Hernandez, Cole Vinson, Taylor Coursey, Jacquelyn Williamson, and Garett Hauser.
