    tennis court The tennis program at Waller Junior High is a team effort between the student athletes, coach, and parents.  We are graciously able to participate with the support of the student body and staff of Waller Jr. High.

    Many times a student’s athletic career begins at the Junior High level. 
    At WJH they are taught, not only the basic skills of the game, but what it takes to be a team player and a leader. 
    Our athletes are learn the ABC's of sportsmanship: 

    ATTITUDE, BEHAVIOR, COMMITMENT!

    • It is our goal to strengthen the character of each athlete as they progress through our program. 
    • Athletes are trained in the skills needed to be successful and prepare them to continue their athletic career at the High School level.

    7th and 8th grade athletes have the opportunity to tryout and compete on the combined boys and girls team. The team practices after school 3 days a week at the WJH tennis courts adjacent to the school. Tennis competes 1 day a week, within the district, and has a total of 5 matches per season.  The team is divided into these categories for a total of 14 matches each week against an opponent:
